About Us
If you want church to feel like family, this is the place for
you. If you want to come in "a few minutes late" and be the first
to slip out at the final "amen", you might not be comfortable
here. "Just sayin."
The majority of our members and regular attenders are involved in some
way in the weekly responsibilities of keeping our organization moving
forward, the building and grounds clean, repaired, and seasonally
decorated.
Because of their commitment, our building and grounds are fresh, clean, and in good repair, and the organization moves smoothly forward. We are a mature group, and the average age is about 45. We are composed of young children and octogenarians.
Members and friends of Calvary Baptist Church have generously given to
make our building, all levels, handicap accessible. We
live in an aging community and after much prayer, made the significant
investment to honor the Lord by elimintating the barrier of steps to
those who wish to worship with us.
Our church is affiliated nationally with the GARBC, state wide with the
OARBC, and more locally with the Bethany Fellowship, a group of 12 like
faith churches in our surrounding area.
If you are looking for a place where preaching and Bible study are a
priority, we invite you to come be a part of our
fellowship. You will meet new family here.
